My Chaplain Assistant and I received your package and immediately set it out for our troops. There was a little of everything for everyone and it was greatly enjoyed! Thank you for taking your personal time and finances and giving the troops a smile over here!
I would like to thank you for all your support during our deployment. The care packages you send benefit a lot of troops. I am one of those troops that have enjoyed your boxes. It is always really nice to hear from home and pass out a few snacks to the troops. Once again thank you for all your support.
"I just wanted to let you know how thankful we troops are for people like you and all of your staff. Being so far from home and facing danger every day, it is nice to get a little piece of home every now and then. It might be so small to some who have never been where we are at but it means the world to us here. The holidays are the hardest time of the year and we miss our families but we do what we do so that you all can stay safe and sleep at eaze at night knowing that there is always someone on the front lines. We might fight the battle here but you all are corpsman for the front lines!! I know [my mother] is proud of me and she wants to help people like me that will lay their life down to ensure that our country and our freedom are preserved."
"We all got the Tri County Blue Star Mother packages about 2 days ago. the frisbee in my box was great, that kept me and a buddy of mine busy for about an hour, we ended up missing lunch cause we were playin with it."
I want to thank each and every one of you for the variety of products and effort you put into my package. I am filled with gratitude for your support.
Thank you so much for the goodies, but especially the encouragement and appreciation that you have been sending our way …
Thank you so very much! … As for the care package, I’ll distribute the stuff out for the guys I work with (everyone shares their care packages out here) and I’ll put the letters out where other people can read them. Once again, thank you for all you’ve done. You guys are a blessing!
Following a shipment of candy canes and Christmas cards to the daughter of one of our Tri-County Blue Star Mothers: She received the candy canes and cards! She was amazed, as all the candy canes, except just a couple, arrived intact. She has already distributed them all! The first place she went was to the “holding area”, where guys are who have been injured, and getting ready to ship back to the States—or “wherever”. She said that morale tends to be the lowest there, so that was the first stop. Guys were impressed with the quality of gift, and the care that went into it-------the candy cane attached, the “American Hero” hand printed on the envelopes, the personal messages, the quality of the cards, with their inspirational messages-------She got a lot of positive reactions as she passed them out. The specialty clinic (where they have our G.I, Ortho, and General Surgery clinics and thus have a high volume of patients) has also been doing a good job of passing out the candy canes and cards here at the hospital. They have a small waiting area with some chairs, so they started putting the candy canes on the chairs for the patients when they come in to wait for their appointments … Thanks again!
